The company is a Berlin-based software company, currently they are building a Vietnam engineering team.

Salary range: 35-45M VND Gross

Role Description:

The Middle QA Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hanoi .

Responsibilities:

• Analyze requirements and design comprehensive test cases covering functional, integration, regression, and edge cases.
• Perform manual and API testing to ensure software quality.
• Independently develop, execute, and maintain automated tests using the existing automation framework.
• Identify opportunities to increase automation coverage, particularly for regression and critical business flows.
• Investigate defects, troubleshoot automation failures, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

Qualifications:

Manual Testing

• Strong knowledge of testing processes, test case design, bug lifecycle, and root cause analysis.
• Proficient in API testing using Postman or Swagger, including request/response and payload validation.
• Ability to analyze technical specifications and acceptance criteria to identify edge cases.
• Experience using browser DevTools (Console, Network) and logs for debugging. Automation Testing
• Solid hands-on experience in writing, debugging, and maintaining automated test scripts independently.
• Proficiency in Playwright.
• Good programming skills in TypeScript or another relevant language.
• CI/CD Integration (Optional): Build, configure, and maintain automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks, reusable components, and test data management.
• Experience troubleshooting flaky tests, timing/timeout issues, and CI/CD execution failures.
• Ability to identify and automate suitable regression and API test scenarios.
• AI-Driven Testing: Proficient in using AI assistants for smart test case design, automated scripting, and advanced root-cause analysis of test failures.

General:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, including at least 2 years of hands-on automation testing.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum and SDLC/STLC.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
