Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that incorporate innovative educational technology and differentiated instruction techniques.
• Teach a broad range of mathematical topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, and differential equations to middle school students.
• Utilize classroom management strategies to create a respectful, inclusive environment conducive to learning for students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation and personalized feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and integrating IT-enabled lessons that enhance student understanding.
• Support students’ social-emotional development through behavior management strategies and mentoring.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to educational technology integration, special education needs, Montessori methods (if applicable), and current educational regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in education or mathematics are preferred.
• Proven experience teaching middle school students in classroom settings with demonstrated success in classroom management and instructional delivery.
• Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, cell biology, dissection techniques, laboratory experience, scientific research methods, and instructional design.
• Familiarity with curriculum development processes and implementing curriculum standards across diverse learning environments.
• Experience working with students from various cultural backgrounds and adapting teaching strategies to meet different learning styles.
• Proficiency in educational technology tools for lesson planning and delivering IT-integrated lessons effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging students, collaborating with colleagues, mentoring peers, and communicating with parents or guardians.
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques specific to middle school settings and experience working with teenagers on academic and behavioral goals.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
