Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in subjects such as Math, English, Science and French.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation, collaboration, and respect among students.
• Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs, including those of students with disabilities or requiring special education support.
• Assess student progress regularly through assignments, tests, and projects; provide constructive feedback to guide improvement.
• Incorporate technology tools such as Microsoft Office applications and other computer-based resources to enhance learning experiences.
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and colleagues to discuss student progress and address any concerns promptly.
• Manage classroom behavior efficiently using organizational skills and time management techniques to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting, ideally within middle school environments.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable; strong communication skills are essential for effective instruction and collaboration.
• Demonstrated classroom experience with a focus on early childhood education principles is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Math, English language arts, Science and French language instruction; familiarity with special education strategies is a plus.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital teaching tools.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs, including those requiring additional support or accommodations for disabilities.
• Strong writing skills for lesson planning, student assessments, and communication documentation.
• Effective time management skills to balance lesson preparation, grading, meetings, and student engagement activities.
