Middle School Volleyball coach

Summary
Webster County Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to serve as a volleyball coach for our middle school team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sport, a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment, and the ability to inspire and mentor young athletes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of student-athletes both on and off the court.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct daily practice sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Develop game strategies and prepare the team for competitions.
• Monitor and assess the performance of players, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
• Promote a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, effort, and personal growth.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and expectations.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members during practices and games.
• Organize and manage team logistics, including transportation, schedules, and equipment.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to support the overall athletic program at Webster County Middle School.
• Attend all scheduled games and events, providing leadership and support during competitions.
• Foster an environment that encourages participation and enjoyment of the sport among all team members.

Requirements

• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle school or high school level, is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, strategies, and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage student-athletes.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for practices and games.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or the willingness to obtain certification.
• A commitment to promoting the physical, emotional, and social development of student-athletes.
• Must pass a background check and adhere to all school district policies and regulations.
• High school diploma required.
