Middleware Platform Engineer - Remote (Brazil)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Middleware Platform Engineer to administer, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise middleware platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway (MFT), IBM MQ, and IBM WebSphere , along with strong expertise in production support, incident management, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and support IBM Sterling File Gateway and Managed File Transfer (MFT) environments.
• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot IBM MQ queues, messaging services, and connectivity issues.
• Support and maintain IBM WebSphere application server environments.
• Monitor middleware platforms to ensure production availability, performance, and stability.
• Troubleshoot file transfer failures, messaging errors, connectivity issues, and production incidents.
• Perform platform health checks, routine maintenance, and configuration changes.
• Provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise middleware platforms.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and network teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Follow ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and incident resolution records.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in middleware administration, engineering, or production support.
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway / MFT .
• Strong experience with IBM MQ / WebSphere MQ , including queue management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience supporting IBM WebSphere Application Server environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise middleware platforms in production environments.
• Understanding of managed file transfers, messaging services, and middleware connectivity.
• Experience with L2/L3 production support, incident resolution, problem management, and RCA.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting business-critical enterprise middleware platforms.
• Knowledge of middleware performance monitoring, service availability, and platform health checks.
• Experience with production change implementation and preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with enterprise application integration and distributed systems.
