Middleweight Designer

We’re looking for a talented Middleweight Designer to join our creative team on a 6 month contract to cover maternity leave.

You’ll have strong design fundamentals, excellent attention to detail and a genuine love of making great work.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can take a brief from initial idea through to final delivery, balancing creative thinking with excellent execution.

The role

You’ll work across a varied mix of projects, with a particular focus on packaging, shopper and trade marketing, presentations, video and marketing collateral.

You’ll develop ideas and bring them to life across different formats and touchpoints.

You’ll collaborate with the wider team while taking ownership of your own projects and maintaining a high level of creative and technical quality.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing creative concepts and turning them into strong design solutions
• Creating packaging, from initial concepts through to production-ready artwork
• Designing shopper and trade marketing, including POS, retail activation and sales materials
• Creating engaging powerpoint presentations from client provided content
• Producing storyboards and editing video content, combining footage, typography, graphics, sound and simple motion
• Producing marketing collateral, including brochures, product sheets, launch materials and digital communications
• Applying brand identities consistently across consumer, retail and trade touchpoints
• Preparing accurate artwork and working with printers, suppliers and production partners

About you

You’re a designer with around 3–5 years’ professional experience and a strong portfolio demonstrating both creative thinking and excellent craft.

You have a great eye for typography, layout, imagery and composition, alongside the technical understanding to get work produced properly.

You understand how design needs to work in the real world: whether that’s making packaging stand out on shelf, communicating a product proposition through POS, turning information into a compelling presentation or shaping footage into an engaging video.

Your skills

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects
• Experience in Adobe Dimension would also be advantageous

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
