What they need
You lower your welding helmet and lay down a weld exactly the way you want it. No repetitive production work, but projects at the highest technical level, from crane sections for the offshore industry to critical components for defence. With clean workshops, high-quality equipment and clear WPSs, your welding forms the foundation of finished products that are shipped all over the world.
What will you be doing?
We want you to be able to perform at your best and feel at home within the team. That starts with a properly equipped workplace and ends with the pride of seeing the final inspection stamp on the finished product. You will get the tools, time and support you need to consistently deliver high-quality work.
- Impact: You will weld heavy steel structures and crane sections that are subject to strict inspections.
- Craftsmanship & equipment: You will work in clean workshops with high-quality welding equipment, certified lifting equipment and clear WPS instructions.
- Development: You will have opportunities to expand your welding qualifications and certifications and develop further in areas such as quality or robotic welding.
Together with the foreman and Welding Coordinator, you plan the welding sequence, parameters, preparation and lifting plans. During welding, you keep stresses and distortion under control. Depending on the stage and size of the project, you will work independently or as part of a project team.
Your work also includes:
- MIG/MAG welding on crane sections and critical steel structures for industries including offshore and defence
- Working on heavy assemblies weighing more than 100 tonnes, using the correct clamping and fixing equipment
- Quality assurance: carrying out visual inspections and checking dimensions
Our projects are technically advanced and often last several months. We deliver complete finished products, not just semi-finished components. When your team completes the final welds and the section leaves the workshop with its inspection stamp, you have literally left your mark on it.
Your profile
- You already have welding experience, with or without formal qualifications, preferably MIG/MAG level 3 or 4
- You work safely and with great precision, consistently following the applicable WPS
- You are a team player who can plan and adapt; projects can last anywhere from a few weeks to six months
- You have a sufficient command of Dutch or English
We are looking for people who enjoy taking on challenging work and overcoming the demands of heavy materials, heat and tight tolerances and who take pride in doing it well. You work accurately according to the specified parameters and communicate clearly and directly.
What we offer
- A salary that reflects the position and your work experience
- A good pension scheme through PMT
- Travel allowance of €0.19 per kilometre, increasing to €0.21 per kilometre for commutes of 30 kilometres or more each way
- 25 days of annual leave, plus the option to purchase an additional 64 hours of leave each year
- Overtime paid out or compensated with time off – the choice is yours
You will join an organisation with short lines of communication where we believe in being straightforward and saying things as they are. Our working hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Fridays we finish at 2:30 p.m. That means an early start to your weekend.
Want to develop yourself further? You will have plenty of opportunities to do so. Think of education, training and courses that match your field of expertise and ambitions.
And if you enjoy social activities, we have an active staff association that regularly organises events. Joining is entirely up to you.
Working on true craftsmanship
At Breman Machinery, you won't be working on standard products or mass production. You will work on technical projects that demand craftsmanship, precision and quality. It is exactly this variety that makes the work challenging. Every project is different and requires something new from your knowledge and experience.
You are trusted to carry out your work independently and given the freedom to contribute ideas about the best possible solution. Not because you have to, but because we believe skilled professionals make the difference. To us, quality is not just a final inspection, it is part of the entire process.
And perhaps most importantly, you will work alongside colleagues who take just as much pride in their craft as you do. We believe in short lines of communication, helping each other move forward and being straightforward with one another. No unnecessary hassle, just working together to create something you can genuinely be proud to put your name to.
