Job Title: Mill Operator

Job Description:

A Bulk Team Member is responsible for operating the plants efficiently, in a safe manner while ensuring a quality product and exhibiting superior customer service.

Reports To: Chief Operations Officer

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform bulk grading and insuring product meets Sunbird Quality expectations
• Oversee truck loading and unloading processes
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of work area and equipment
• Accurately track production type, quality and time
• Take bulk samples of various products as required
• Strong customer service orientation
• Able to problem solve and make decision as needed
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
• Able to work outside in all types of weather, climb ladders, and work from heights
• Potential to work long irregular hours (weekends and holidays included)
• Follow all company policies, safety, haz-mat, etc
• Report all accidents, violations and repairs to management immediately
• Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel
• Take on additional tasks as needed within plants.
• Ensure paperwork is completed completely and accurately for all programs
• Operate forklift within warehouse
• Operate Mill
• Housekeeping

Job Requirements:

• Mechanical aptitude
• Able to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills
• Able to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines
• Helps fulfil government compliance requirements
• Positive attitude
