Milling Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate conventional milling machines for machining metal components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.
• Set up workpieces, tools, fixtures, and machine parameters.
• Perform facing, slotting, drilling, keyway cutting, and other milling operations.
• Measure finished components using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring instruments.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per specifications.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance and keep the machine and work area clean.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain production records.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of conventional milling machine operations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments.
• Understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards.
• Basic knowledge of machine maintenance.
• Good problem-solving and attention to detail.
