Millwork Drafting Technician

17021712 Canada Inc. / HND We manufacture complex, high-end commercial millwork and metalwork. The Millwork Drafting Technician (Microvellum Drafter / Millwork & Metalwork Detailer) translates approved shop drawings and engineering specs into fully detailed, production-ready cut lists and CNC-optimized files using Microvellum. The role sits between design/engineering and the shop floor so nothing reaches CNC or fabrication without dimensionally accurate, buildable data. Duties - Translate approved shop drawings and engineering specifications into detailed, production-ready millwork and metalwork data - Build and maintain Microvellum models, cut lists, parts lists and bills of materials - Generate CNC-optimized files and machining data for production - Verify dimensions, materials, hardware and construction details for buildability - Coordinate with design/engineering, project managers and the shop floor to resolve discrepancies before fabrication - Manage drawing revisions and keep production documentation accurate and organized Requirements - College diploma in drafting, architectural/mechanical technology or a related field - 5+ years of CAD drafting experience - Strong knowledge of millwork construction methods, materials and hardware - Microvellum experience preferred - English required Job details - Full-time, permanent; 36 hours/week (9 hours/day, 4 days/week) - $36 CAD/hour - Benefits: group health and dental insurance, 10 vacation days, 4% vacation pay - Overtime only if pre-approved - Not unionized - Location: 10000 Av. de Bruxelles, Montréal-Nord, QC H1H 4P9 How to apply Email [email protected] with the subject "Millwork Drafting Technician – Application".
