Shift: (Days) - Monday to Friday, 7:30AM - 4:00PM.

Position Summary

The Edgebanding Operator is responsible for the safe setup and operation of edgebanding machinery to apply edge tape to panel products such as MDF, melamine, and laminate. This role plays a critical part in ensuring finished components meet quality standards and production timelines. Edgebanding machines apply edging to wood panels to improve durability and appearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and production specifications
• Set up, operate, and adjust edgebanding machines to apply MDF or laminate edging to panels
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure optimal quality and efficiency
• Load materials and ensure proper feeding of panels through the machine
• Inspect finished components for adhesion, alignment, and overall quality
• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on equipment
• Work collaboratively with CNC, panel saw, and assembly teams to maintain workflow
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with shop safety standards

Edgebanding Operators typically monitor machine operation, adjust settings, and perform quality checks to ensure finished wood components meet required specifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating edgebanding equipment in a millwork or cabinetry environment
• Strong understanding of panel products (melamine, MDF, laminate, plywood)
• Ability to read shop drawings or production specifications
• Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting woodworking machinery
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a production team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
