About The Role

Keep critical operations running at peak performance. Join a high-performing team where you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and continuously improving integrated mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. This role plays a vital part in ensuring reliable plant operations, accurate process control, maximum equipment performance, and minimal downtime, driving operational excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with SHEQ, engineering standards, permit-to-work procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, risk assessments, and internal control frameworks while executing maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process control risks, completing all required maintenance, safety, and handover documentation while ensuring timely closure of maintenance and improvement actions.
  • Provide hands-on mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems support during assigned shifts, ensuring maximum equipment availability, rapid fault response, and minimal disruption to production targets.
  • Monitor plant performance through inspections, alarm reviews, and proactive troubleshooting, while delivering thorough shift handovers and collaborating closely with production teams to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems to maximize equipment reliability, availability, and overall plant performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment faults using systematic troubleshooting techniques, while safely installing, inspecting, servicing, and repairing a wide range of industrial machinery, electrical equipment, drives, and control systems.
  • Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of process instrumentation and control equipment, ensuring accurate measurement, reliable process control, and optimal plant performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve PLC, HMI, automation, and industrial network faults, while managing authorised system changes, backups, configuration control, and continuous improvement of automated processes.
  • Drive equipment reliability and process stability by identifying recurring faults, conducting root-cause analysis, and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions that deliver sustainable performance improvements.
  • Support maintenance excellence through thorough testing, accurate documentation, and active involvement in equipment installations, commissioning, and improvement projects, ensuring all systems are safe, compliant, and fit for operation.
  • Coordinate closely with production teams, engineering leadership, contractors, and other stakeholders to plan maintenance activities, manage isolations and testing, resolve equipment issues, and minimise operational downtime.
  • Maintain high standards of asset care by ensuring tools, test equipment, and workshop facilities are secure, calibrated, and serviceable, while applying 5S and housekeeping principles across all work areas.

Minimum requirements:

  • 5 O’ levels Maths and English included.
  • Class 1 Journeyman – Millwright
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment
  • Formal training in industrial electrical systems, process instrumentation, automation and PLC systems
  • Accredited training in PLC/HMI platforms, variable-speed drives, industrial networks and instrumentation calibration, preferably Siemens
