Millwright

Pinnacle Specialty Services is seeking an experienced and dependable Millwright to join our industrial/construction team. This position is responsible for installing, assembling, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment at various job sites.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, experience working in industrial or heavy construction environments, and the ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a field crew.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, dismantle, move, and align industrial machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and equipment manuals.
• Perform precision alignment, leveling, and installation of pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and other rotating or mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and identify necessary repairs.
• Replace or repair bearings, seals, shafts, couplings, belts, and other mechanical components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and rigging equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with equipment setting, structural installation, and other industrial construction activities as required.
• Perform basic welding, cutting, and fabrication when needed.
• Follow proper rigging and lifting procedures when moving or positioning equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company, customer, and job-site safety policies and procedures.
• Work closely with supervisors, operators, welders, pipefitters, electricians, and other trades.
• Complete additional duties as assigned based on project requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous millwright, industrial maintenance, or industrial construction experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge of equipment alignment, bearings, couplings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, and related mechanical systems.
• Rigging experience is preferred.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively with a crew.
• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to report to assigned job sites.
• OSHA, NCCER, TWIC, forklift, aerial lift, rigging, or other industrial certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular physical activity in an industrial/construction environment. Employees must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry heavy tools, materials, and equipment as required. Work may be performed outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather and industrial conditions.

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
