Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Millwright to join our afternoon shift team. The hours for this position will be M-F 3:30PM-12:00AM. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment, with a focus on shredders and downstream machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, preventive maintenance practices, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues efficiently. The Millwright will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the shredder and downstream equipment regularly to identify wear, damage, leaks, loose components, and abnormal operating conditions.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks including lubrication, adjustments, alignment, and component replacement to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Inspect and replace shredder hammers, pins, grates, liners, wear plates, and other wear components as needed.
• Install, maintain, and repair bearings, housings, seals, shafts, and couplings to uphold machinery integrity.
• Maintain and repair conveyors by inspecting belts, splices, pulleys, rollers, and other related components to prevent downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize production disruptions.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance and repair activities.
• Document maintenance activities accurately for record keeping and future reference.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar industrial maintenance role involving mechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, seals, couplings, and wear parts.
• Experience with inspecting equipment for wear and damage and performing preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read technical manuals and interpret schematics or diagrams related to machinery repair.
• Familiarity with conveyor systems and downstream processing equipment is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Relevant certifications or training in millwrighting or industrial maintenance are advantageous.

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 – 50.0 per week
