Millwright Journeyman

Summary Mortenson is currently seeking a Millwright Journeyman that will be responsible for dismantling, erecting, assembling, aligning, adjusting, and/or maintaining machinery and equipment according to installation manuals, work instructions, layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Dismantle and assemble machines using hand and power tools
• Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
• Align machines and equipment using various tools and instruments
• Operate cranes, forklifts, hoists, lift trucks, and other equipment
• Install and maintain lubrication systems on machines
• Handle major components during offloading and installation
• Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum three (3) years of related experience
• Current driver’s license
• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, assembly/disassembly, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; detail-oriented with a positive attitude and professional customer service skills
• Strong teamwork orientation with active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedback
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.

The base pay range for this role is $36.70 per hour. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
