Mine Operations Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and result-driven Mine Operations Engineer to oversee and optimize daily surface mining activities on-site in Dinagat Islands. In this role, you will bridge site execution and engineering design, ensuring extraction targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day pit operations, including clearing, drilling, blasting, excavation, hauling, and grade control
• Assist in developing short-term (daily, weekly, and monthly) mine production schedules and monitor operational progress against targets
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory mandates (MGB/DENR guidelines), and environmental management plans on-site
• Coordinate with fleet management and maintenance teams to ensure high equipment availability and efficient cycle times
• Work closely with the geology team to manage ore blending and maintain quality specifications for shipping
• Track production metrics, analyze site performance data, and prepare daily operational reports for management

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering
• Registered / Licensed Mining Engineer in the Philippines
• Minimum of 2–4 years of operational experience in open-pit or surface mining
• Proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Surpac, Maptek Vulcan, or AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong understanding of the Philippine Mining Act (RA 7942), DENR-MGB regulations, and site safety standards
• Willing to work on-site in Dinagat Islands under a rotational or field assignment setup
