PT Borneo Prima is the coking coal mining company of the IMR Group, operating one of Indonesia's significant metallurgical coal projects in Murung Raya, Central Kalimantan. The mine has substantial JORC reserves and resources and supplies premium-quality coking coal to global steel producers.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Mining Production Engineer to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective coal production operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Mine Operations, Mine Planning, Drill & Blast, Hauling,HSE, and Maintenance teams to achieve production targets while ensuring compliance with Indonesian mining regulations and international safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Planning & Schduling

1.1 Support the Mine Planning team with input on mining for long and short terms including pit optimization.

1.2 Long- and short-term scheduling for production, hauling, blending and OB dumping.

1.3 Selection of optimum machineries for operations in conjunction of Deposite Geometry and infrastructure limitations.

1.4 To provide cost comparision (O&O) for variuos machine that can be used.

1.5 Reconciliation of the mine plan and schedule with actual and suggest remedial meaasures to production engineer.

1.6 Ensure that ROM is seggregated into Direct Feed and Wash Feed basis the available model with qualifire due to makrket condition.

1.7 Ensure that adequate tonnage of Premium Hard Coking, PCI, Heat Affected and Graphite Material is always availble to be mined and dispacthed at profit.

1.8 Calculate cost forecast and reconciliate basis mine plan and schduling with input from commercial and production department.

1.9 Support Production engineer in optimizing thr best uses of avaialable resources.

1.10 Supporting exploration team as and when called.

1. Resource and reserve estimation

2.1 Along with Geologist/ Surveyor critically analyze geological map, model/ schdule and modify the same periodically.

2.2 Provide mining input (SR/Thickness) in model preparation and updating.

1. Environment & Safety

3.1 Ensure that Mine Plan and Schdule follows AMDAL as well as IFC Performance Standards.

3.2 Ensure that safe working machines are selected vis-a –vis deposite Geometry.

3.3 Selection of Tailing pond and tailing dam area.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering(IIT/NIT/TOP ENG COLLEGE)

Minimum 8 to 15 years of experience in open-pit coal mining operations.
