Mine Plan Engineer Supervisor (Solomon)

• Develop long-term and short-term mine plans, including pit designs, waste management, and haulage routes.
• Evaluate ore reserves and create extraction strategies to optimize nickel recovery.
• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to ensure alignment with company goals.
• Construct and evaluate weekly, monthly, three monthly, and yearly plan.
• Lead and manage mine development projects, including expansion initiatives and feasibility studies.
• Ensure project timelines, budgets, and resources are managed effectively.
• Provide technical guidance on schedule and excavation operations.
• Monitor and improve mining methods, equipment utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Prepare and submit technical reports, including production, environmental impact, and financial evaluations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including geology, operational, and other departments.
• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee safety audits and ensure compliance with company safety policies.
• Have a basic understanding of geotechnics and hydrology/hydrogeology.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in mining operations in a senior role.

• Proven track record in managing nickel mining projects.

• Proficiency in mining software.

• Proficiency in mapping software.

• Strong understanding of ore body modeling, geotechnical principles, mine scheduling, and mine optimization.

• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent is preferred.
