About the role

This role involves developing short-term mine plans and mine scheduling, conducting plan versus actual sequence analysis, and performing mine design for pit, disposal, hauling road, drainage, sump and settling pond. The position includes monitoring contractor progress and activity sequences, analysing loading, hauling, dumping, blasting and dewatering operations, and preparing periodic mine plan reports. Coordination with related teams and contractors is essential, as is ensuring the application of health, safety, environmental and labour aspects in mine planning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop short-term mine plans and mine scheduling
• Conduct analysis of plan versus actual sequence
• Perform mine design for pit, disposal, hauling road, drainage, sump and settling pond
• Monitor contractor progress and activity sequences
• Analyse loading, hauling, dumping, blasting and dewatering operations
• Prepare periodic mine plan reports
• Coordinate with related teams and contractors
• Ensure application of health, safety, environmental and labour aspects in mine planning activities

About you

• Minimum S1 degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mine Plan or Mine Engineer
• Understanding of mine planning, mine scheduling and mine design
• Understanding of loading, hauling, dumping, blasting and dewatering
• Ability to conduct plan versus actual analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Proficiency in mine planning/design software is an advantage
• Analytical thinking, leadership, communication, teamwork and problem-solving capabilities
• Willing to be placed at site
