Mine Planner - UG

Our client is seeking an experienced Mine Planner for a 12-Month Contract with strong underground mine planning and scheduling experience to support mining operations in the Rustenburg area . The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining practical, operationally achievable mine plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with production targets, mine design requirements and operational constraints.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Mining Engineering / Mine Planning qualification.
• Proven experience in underground mine planning and scheduling.
• Strong practical knowledge of underground mining operations and production planning.
• Hands-on experience using Datamine software for mine planning and scheduling.
• Experience developing and maintaining underground mine plans and production schedules.
• Ability to interpret and work with geological, survey and mining data.
• Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and engage effectively with site-based operational teams.
• Previous experience working in an underground mining environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain short-, medium- and long-term underground mine plans and schedules.
• Prepare detailed production schedules in line with operational targets and mine planning requirements.
• Utilise Datamine software for underground mine planning, design, scheduling and related planning activities.
• Develop and update mine layouts, development plans and production schedules.
• Conduct mine planning and scheduling activities based on geological, geotechnical and operational information.
• Work closely with Mining, Geology, Survey, Engineering and Production teams to ensure plans are practical and achievable.
• Monitor planned versus actual production and identify potential deviations or constraints.
• Provide planning input to support production optimisation and effective utilisation of mining resources.
• Review and adjust plans in response to changing operational conditions.
• Ensure mine plans comply with relevant safety, technical and operational requirements.
• Prepare planning reports, schedules and presentations for management and operational teams.
• Work independently at a client site within the greater Rustenburg area.

• The ideal candidate will be an experienced underground Mine Planner who combines strong technical mine planning capability with practical underground mining experience. Datamine proficiency and demonstrated underground planning and scheduling experience are key requirements for this position.
