About our client
Our client is one of Australia's leading contract mining companies. They have a long track record of delivering surface and underground projects for major resources companies across the country.
 
They're looking for experienced Underground Mine Superintendents who set the standard for safe, efficient operations, bring out the best in their people and take pride in delivering outstanding project outcomes.
 
Two roles available in Western Australia

• Role 1: Family-friendly 7/7 roster, FIFO Perth or Kalgoorlie residential
• Role 2: FIFO Perth or Esperance residential

The role
You'll play a central part in running underground mining operations that are safe, productive and commercially successful. You'll also build strong client relationships and high-performing crews. Key responsibilities include:

• Making sure contractual obligations are met while improving project performance and managing risk
• Setting clear expectations, and coaching, developing and recognising your team
• Owning the schedule, resourcing, and interfaces with the client and suppliers
• Leading reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Building a speak-up culture where every person is respected

About you

• Proven experience as an Underground Mine Superintendent
• At least one of the following mining supervisor qualifications:
  • S26 Statutory Supervisor Certificate (WA)
  • S123/G189 Mining Supervisor ticket (QLD)
  • S10 Statutory Supervisor Certificate (NSW)
• The ability to build trust, set clear standards and make sound, timely decisions
• Strong planning, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• A genuine commitment to safe, high-quality delivery
• A current Australian manual driver's licence
