Mines Manager

A fast-growing mining company is actively seeking an experienced Mines Manager for immediate joiner to lead operations.

Position Overview

The Mines Manager will be responsible for leading all mine planning activities for Mining Operations, including short-term, medium-term, and long-term mine, production scheduling, mine development, waste management, and statutory compliance. The role will ensure safe, sustainable, and cost-effective mining operations while achieving production targets and maximizing resource recovery.

Key Responsibilities

Mine Planning & Monitoring

• Prepare and review short, medium, and long-term mine plans aligned with business objectives.
• Plan monthly Target as per Coal Company. Deployment of vehicle & machinery accordingly and Fuel & repair-maintenance expenditures.

Coordination & Operations

• Coordinate mining, equipment, transportation, and support departments to ensure uninterrupted production, effective shift operations, timely reporting, traffic discipline, and adherence to SOPs and mine safety standards. Mine Survey teams for updating pit progress, bench advancement, and excavation status.
• Resource Allocation & Cost Management: Strategically deploy personnel and equipment to maximize efficiency and achieve production goals.
• Support Operations teams in execution of Production and Transportation as per planed Target.
• Conduct regular planning review meetings with all stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate mining equipment performance, ensuring timely maintenance and repairs to prevent delays.
• Monitor project expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial alignment with budgetary constraints.

MIS, Reporting & Data Management

• Prepare and present production, development, and MIS reports to the Head Office as directed.
• Generate monthly performance reviews and forecasting reports.
• Maintain mine planning databases and records.
• Provide management with operational insights and improvement recommendations.
• Do the all-necessary approval with coal company for deployment of vehicle, machinery, staff, driver, operators etc.
• Maintain Labour Compliance & PF related documents for submission with RA Bill.
• Posting of data on CLIP portal as per requirement of coal company.
• Handle equipment breakdowns, emergencies and ensure effective shift handover.
• Maintain shift reports, logbooks and operational records.
