Mining Engineer

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Mining Engineer with short to medium-term planning experience to step into a highly visible position, working closely with planning and operational teams to align mine plans with infrastructure delivery, fleet deployment, and evolving electrification requirements.
The Opportunity

• Translate short and medium-term mine plans into actionable infrastructure requirements.
• Influence mine sequencing, fleet deployment, and infrastructure planning decisions.
• Support the integration of emerging technologies and planning systems.
• Contribute to budgeting, trade-off analysis, and change management processes.
• Work across multidisciplinary teams, providing technical input and resolving planning conflicts.
• Help drive standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

• Degree qualified in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years experience in open pit mining operations and mine planning.
• Strong background in short to medium-term planning and mine design.
• Proficient with planning software such as Deswik, Vulcan, Alastri, or similar.
• Sound understanding of mine sequencing, fleet deployment, and operational planning.
• Exposure to infrastructure, electrification, or energy-related mining projects will be highly regarded.
• Analytical, commercially aware, and solutions focused.
