Job Title: Mining Engineer

Department: Land, Mines & Geology

Summary

Responsible for supervising mining operations with focus on safe and efficient mine production, drilling & blasting, manpower and machinery management, and statutory compliance. The role will support achievement of production targets while maintaining safety standards at the mine site.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day mining operations in accordance with Rule 45 of MMR, 1961 and applicable statutory requirements.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with manpower and machinery safety requirements.
• Plan and monitor mining activities to achieve daily production targets.
• Supervise drilling and blasting operations for safe and efficient mining.
• Monitor deployment and utilization of manpower and mining machinery.
• Conduct regular mine-site inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Maintain TBT and promote safety awareness among workmen and contractors.
• Coordinate with mining contractors, supervisors and other departments for smooth operations.
• Maintain production, safety and other required operational records and reports.

Qualification

B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mining Engineering with a valid Second Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency under MMR, 1961.

Experience

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Open Cast Mining, preferably in Cement / Limestone Mining.
