Mining Engineer (Fresh Graduates Welcome)

About the role

Mind Edge Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established company providing industrial products and services to the mining sector.

We are seeking a Mining Engineer to support mine planning, technical studies, project evaluation and mining operations. The role combines technical work at the Bangkok head office with on-site assignments at project locations across Thailand. Candidates should be flexible, willing to travel and able to adapt to project schedules and site requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support technical studies and pilot trials of new mine planning and mining methods.
• Research and assist in applying mine planning tools, systems and techniques to improve mining operations.
• Assist in developing and updating short-term, long-term and Life of Mine plans.
• Support pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for mining projects.
• Collect and analyse technical data to support due diligence, project evaluation and risk assessment.
• Provide technical information and project analysis to support the Business Development team.
• Assist in implementing mine planning and operational best practices at project sites.
• Support mining quality assurance activities to improve operational performance.
• Coordinate with project teams to maintain and update mine-site plans.
• Assist in mine optimisation studies, considering technical requirements and operational constraints.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering.
• 0–1 year of experience in coal mining, quarrying, mineral operations or related businesses. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Sound understanding of mine planning and mining operations.
• Familiarity with mining software such as Surpac, Minescape, Vulcan, Datamine, Micromine or equivalent tools would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Valid driving licence and ability to drive a car.
• Willingness to travel and work at project sites in other provinces.
• Availability to work on Saturdays during on-site project assignments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn.
• Good communication, interpersonal and coordination skills.
