Mining Management Stockpile/Sampling Jr. Foreman

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage stockpile operations, including material placement, segregation, and inventory control
• Supervise sampling activities and ensure proper protocols are followed to maintain sample integrity and representativeness
• Monitor stockpile conditions and implement corrective measures to prevent material degradation or contamination
• Coordinate with operational teams to ensure efficient material flow and stockpile utilisation
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of stockpile management and sampling activities
• Conduct regular inspections of stockpile areas and sampling equipment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
• Train and mentor junior staff on stockpile management and sampling best practices
• Liaise with quality assurance and laboratory teams regarding sampling results and material specifications
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols within the stockpile and sampling operations
• Report on stockpile performance metrics and identify opportunities for operational improvements

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Foreman or Supervisor in mining stockpile operations, sampling, or material handling
• Strong knowledge of stockpile management principles, material segregation, and sample collection methodologies
• Understanding of mining operations, geology, and mineralogy as they relate to stockpile and sampling activities
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead teams effectively in a mining environment
• Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams
• Proficiency in relevant computer systems and data management tools
• Valid mining qualifications and certifications relevant to stockpile and sampling operations
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Ability to work in a contract-based role in a remote mining location
• Knowledge of Indonesian mining regulations and industry standards is advantageous
