Mining Monitoring Control

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control all mining operations activities to ensure they align with established safety and operational standards
• Conduct regular inspections of mining sites, equipment, and facilities to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with regulations
• Collect and analyse operational data to track production metrics, efficiency rates, and safety performance
• Prepare detailed monitoring reports and documentation for management review and regulatory submissions
• Identify and report any deviations from operational procedures or safety protocols
• Collaborate with site supervisors and operational teams to implement corrective actions when issues are identified
• Maintain accurate records of monitoring activities, inspections, and incidents
• Ensure environmental compliance and monitor adherence to environmental management plans
• Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within mining operations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in mining operations monitoring, control, or a related supervisory role within the mining industry
• Strong knowledge of mining operations, equipment, and standard operational procedures
• Solid understanding of mining safety regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and industry standards
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify anomalies and potential issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in data collection and reporting, with familiarity with monitoring systems and software
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document findings clearly
• Physical capability to work in challenging mining environments and perform site inspections
• Relevant mining certifications or qualifications are highly desirable
• Experience with compliance documentation and regulatory requirements in mining operations
