Mining Paramedic Foreman

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and manage a team of paramedics and medical staff, providing training, guidance and performance management
• Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive emergency medical response procedures and protocols across the mining site
• Conduct regular health and safety inspections and audits of medical facilities, equipment and emergency response systems
• Coordinate first aid and paramedical services, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and response capability at all times
• Manage medical equipment, supplies and inventory, ensuring adequate stock and proper maintenance of all emergency medical equipment
• Provide immediate emergency medical care and paramedical support to injured or ill personnel on-site
• Document and maintain detailed records of medical incidents, treatments provided and emergency response activities
• Liaise with external medical facilities, hospitals and emergency services to facilitate coordinated patient care and transfers when necessary
• Develop and deliver health and safety training programmes to mining personnel, including first aid and emergency response awareness
• Conduct incident investigations and provide recommendations to prevent future medical emergencies and workplace injuries
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian mining regulations, occupational health and safety legislation, and company health and safety policies

What we're looking for

• Current paramedic qualification or equivalent medical certification recognised in Indonesia
• Minimum 3 years experience working as a paramedic or in a mining or industrial emergency medical response environment
• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience managing medical or healthcare personnel
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations applicable to mining operations in Indonesia
• Competency in emergency medical protocols, trauma response and mass casualty incident management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure in emergency situations
• Proficiency in medical record-keeping, incident reporting and documentation systems
• Fluency in Indonesian and English (written and spoken)
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to work on a remote mining site with rotating schedules as required
• First Aid, CPR/BLS and Advanced Life Support certifications (or willingness to obtain these)
• Experience with mining operations, hazardous environments or remote site medical services is highly desirable
