Mining Systems Application Support Analyst (FIFO) - 12 months

Talent International is recruiting an experienced Product Technical Support specialist to join one of our major mining clients within a Technology & Autonomy environment.

Based on site, you will be the critical technical link between product development teams and mining operations, ensuring mission-critical technology systems remain reliable, supportable and aligned to operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Provide site-based technical support for mining technology and operational systems.

Troubleshoot issues across applications, Linux platforms, industrial networks, communications systems and databases.

Support Fleet Management Systems, dispatch platforms and autonomous mining technologies.

Work directly with site operations, technical teams and leadership to understand operational issues and translate them into practical technical solutions.

Support system integration, configuration, deployment and maintenance activities across IT and OT environments.

Use scripting and automation to improve support efficiency, diagnostics and repeatability.

Support configuration management and deployment tooling including Octopus Deploy and Ansible.

Support Docker/container-based platforms including Docker Swarm and OpenShift where applicable.

Analyse SQL data and system information to investigate incidents, performance issues and operational problems.

Coordinate with software engineering, DevOps, architecture, analytics, product management, OEMs and technology vendors.

Provide clear technical communication to both technical and operational stakeholders.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across technology reliability, supportability and operational performance.

Maintain a strong focus on production continuity, safety and quality in a 24/7 mining environment.

Essential Experience

1-3+ years in technical roles within mining, resources or heavy industry.

Experience supporting mining technology systems such as Fleet Management Systems, dispatch or automation platforms.

Remote mine-site experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively on roster.

Hands-on industrial networking and communications experience.

Experience supporting mission-critical production systems.

Technical Knowledge

Basic Python for automation, data processing or integration.

Bash and/or PowerShell scripting.

SQL querying and reporting.

TCP/IP networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.

Linux administration across RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS or similar.

Configuration management and deployment tools such as Octopus Deploy and Ansible.

Docker containers and orchestration, including Docker Swarm or OpenShift.

Fleet Management Systems such as MineStar, FrontRunner or Modular Mining.

Highly Regarded

Autonomous haulage systems experience.

Open-pit or underground mining operations.

Multi-site technology deployments.

Mining production optimisation systems.

Safety-critical systems and protocols.

OT/IT cybersecurity exposure.

Node.js or React exposure.
