MIS Associate

Role Overview As an E-commerce MIS Associate at The Indus Valley

you will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and reporting e-commerce data across marketplaces and online sales channels. The role will support the E-commerce team with accurate MIS reports, sales and inventory analysis, performance tracking, reconciliation, and actionable insights to improve business performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. E-commerce MIS & Reporting o Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for e-commerce sales and operations. o Consolidate data from multiple marketplaces and internal systems.

2. Sales Performance Analysis o Track sales, orders, revenue, ASP, units sold, cancellations, returns, and other key e-commerce metrics. o Analyze SKU-wise, category-wise, marketplace-wise, and channel-wise performance.

3. Marketplace Reporting o Support reporting requirements for platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Meesho, Quick Commerce and other marketplaces. o Track marketplace performance and highlight significant variances or issues.

4. Inventory & Stock Monitoring o Monitor inventory availability, stock movement, ageing, out-of-stock situations, and replenishment requirements. o Coordinate with Warehouse, Supply Chain and E-commerce teams for stock-related MIS.

5. Order & Return Analysis o Track order fulfilment, cancellations, returns, RTOs and related operational metrics. o Identify trends and share insights for reducing cancellations and returns. 6. Reconciliation Support o Assist with marketplace sales, payment, commission, return and settlement reconciliation. o Coordinate with Finance and E-commerce teams to resolve data discrepancies.

7. Dashboard & Data Management o Develop and maintain dashboards and trackers for key e-commerce KPIs. o Ensure accuracy, completeness and timely updating of reports.

8. Business Insights o Analyze data to identify growth opportunities, performance gaps and operational improvements. o Provide actionable insights to support category, marketplace and promotional decisions.

9. Campaign & Promotion Analysis o Track sales performance during marketplace events, promotions, discounts and campaigns. o Compare actual performance against targets and previous periods.

10. Data Accuracy & Process Improvement Perform regular data validation and maintain MIS accuracy. Identify opportunities to automate reports and improve reporting efficiency. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, Analytics or a related field.

Experience in E-commerce MIS, reporting or data analysis is preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and formulas. Knowledge of SQL, Power BI or other reporting tools will be an advantage. Understanding of e-commerce marketplaces and basic marketplace metrics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to coordinate with E-commerce, Finance, Warehouse and Supply Chain teams.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
