MIS Engineer (Network)

About the role

JX METALS PHILIPPINES, INC. is seeking a MIS Engineer (Network) to join our Technology team in a full-time capacity. Based in Biñan, Laguna, this role is fundamental to maintaining and enhancing our network infrastructure and systems administration capabilities. As MIS Engineer (Network), you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our organization's network systems and IT infrastructure. This position is critical to supporting our operational excellence and enabling our business objectives across all departments.

Job description

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points connectivity.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of Windows Server environments.
• Monitor server and network performance, identify issues, and perform basic performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, and maintain LAN and WAN connectivity infrastructure.
• Assist in managing enterprise network devices, including Cisco and Aruba switches.
• Support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IP-based CCTV systems, including NVRs, DVRs, cameras, and video surveillance equipment.
• Perform firmware upgrades, software updates, and preventive maintenance on network devices and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs), vendors, and contractors to resolve network-related issues.
• Provide technical support to end users for network- and infrastructure-related issues.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)

• Proven experience of 1-3 years working as a network engineer or similar role in systems and network administration

• Knowledge of Windows Server installation, configuration, and administration.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.

• Experience with server monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

• Experience in configuring and troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve network performance, connectivity, and infrastructure issues.

• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Internet connectivity technologies.

• Knowledge of IP-based CCTV systems, NVRs, DVRs, and video surveillance

• Ability to create and maintain network diagrams, configurations, and technical documentation.

• Experience managing network devices, including Cisco and Aruba switches.
