Mission Support Team Section Lead - Ground

For our client, we are seeking a Mission Support Team Section Lead - Ground to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

In this remote leadership role, you will guide a team responsible for resolving complex operational issues in a highly technical and mission-critical environment. This position emphasizes customer partnership, issue escalation management, and continuous improvement to strengthen operational performance and internal controls. You will also support a specialized ground-focused mission support function that interfaces with key customers and technical stakeholders.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $107,500 – $204,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize resolution of complex issues
• Review and recommend solutions for escalated business-impacting issues
• Manage and mentor a team of experienced professionals
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers
• Investigate customer complaints and implement improvement plans
• Coach the team to ensure achievement of operational goals
• Maintain training and auditing programs for internal controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent experience (8+ years)
• Proven experience in technical problem-solving with systems expertise
• Strong background in system administration and troubleshooting within complex environments
• Experience in ISR sensor planning or collection management
• Familiarity with AF DCGS or national intelligence agencies
• Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification within 6 months
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required on day one
