Mission Worker

Job Duties:

• Participate in the implementation and review of the mission work of the Methodist International Church;

• Connect with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, including expatriates, ethnic minorities and new Mainland arrival families, and encourage them to learn about and participate in church-related activities;

• Organise mission gatherings, evangelistic events, Bible study groups, pastoral care visits and community outreach activities;

• Follow up with activity participants and build connection networks;

• Produce mission-related information, testimony-sharing materials, prayer materials and promotional content;

• Participate in the implementation of district collaboration and parish partnership projects;

• Organise Mission Sundays, sharing sessions and workshops;

• Handle ministry-related administration, publicity, registration, venue arrangements, supplies and financial applications;

• Prepare ministry plans, reports, meeting minutes and evaluation documents;

• Coordinate communication among the Centre, churches, partner organisations and various ministry units;

• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors;

Requirements:

• Diploma holder or above; preference will be given to candidates who have studied theology, mission, social work, or related disciplines;

• Minimum two years of relevant work experience;

• Experience in organising activities, leading groups, volunteer management or project coordination is an advantage;

• Good written and spoken Chinese and English;

• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Putonghua;

• Good organisational, planning, communication and interpersonal skills;

• Outgoing, energetic and confident in building relationships and engaging with diverse stakeholders;

• Proactive, innovative and open-minded, with a commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to challenge conventional practices to enhance service impact and operational effectiveness;

• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team;

• Proficient in general computer applications, including Microsoft Office, AI tools and social media platforms;

• Experience in promotional design, video production or digital media is preferred.
