What they need

Lead the Team. Own the Results. Build What’s Next.

About Standard Restoration

Standard Restoration is a growing disaster restoration company specializing in emergency restoration for residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, and biohazard events.

Our reputation is built on rapid response, clear communication, quality workmanship, and doing right by our customers. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for experienced restoration professionals who take pride in their work, lead by example, and want to make a meaningful impact on the business they help build.

We believe exceptional customer experiences start with exceptional people. We value accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and leaders who invest in developing others. We’re building a company where strong performers can take ownership, contribute ideas, and grow alongside the business.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a proven restoration professional who knows how to run successful mitigation projects, develop a team, and drive operational performance.

As our Mitigation Project Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of the mitigation department, overseeing projects from the initial emergency response through completion while building the people, processes, and standards needed to support continued growth.

This is an opportunity for someone who understands restoration at the field level and has the business sense to connect production, customer satisfaction, team performance, and profitability.

You’ll have a direct impact on how the department operates, how our team develops, and how consistently we deliver results. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, solves problems, establishes clear expectations, and follows through.

If you’re ready to move beyond managing individual jobs and take greater ownership of a mitigation operation, this role offers the opportunity to put your experience to work.

What You’ll Own

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and hold mitigation field technicians accountable for safety, workmanship, productivity, documentation, and customer service.
  • Establish clear expectations and reinforce company standards, goals, and values.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and retain capable team members.
  • Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify performance gaps, address issues directly, and develop team members into stronger performers.

Mitigation Operations & Project Execution

  • Oversee emergency response, mitigation production, job monitoring, and project completion.
  • Manage projects from initial inspection through final closeout, ensuring work is completed efficiently, correctly, and within scope.
  • Assess property damage, determine appropriate mitigation strategies, and develop actionable plans.
  • Coordinate crews, equipment, resources, and schedules to keep projects moving.
  • Maintain high standards for safety, documentation, workmanship, and operational consistency.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement practical improvements to increase efficiency and service quality.

Customer & Insurance Relationships

  • Serve as a key point of contact for property owners, insurance adjusters, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
  • Communicate scopes of work, schedules, expectations, and changes clearly and professionally.
  • Navigate the urgency and complexity of restoration projects while maintaining customer confidence.
  • Coordinate with insurance and claims professionals to support accurate documentation and timely project progression.
  • Resolve concerns proactively and ensure customers receive a professional, responsive experience.

Financial Performance & Accountability

  • Monitor job costs, labor, production efficiency, and project profitability.
  • Ensure jobs are properly scoped, documented, managed, and closed out.
  • Identify cost overruns, operational inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve financial performance.
  • Balance quality, customer satisfaction, production demands, and profitability.
  • Develop and refine processes, performance standards, and operating procedures that support a scalable mitigation department.

Emergency Response & Availability

  • Participate in the company’s on-call rotation and serve as an evening and weekend point of contact for new emergency losses.
  • Assess incoming losses, coordinate appropriate resources, and help ensure a timely response.
  • Make sound decisions under pressure and provide clear direction when situations are time-sensitive.

What You Bring to the Team

We’re looking for someone with practical restoration knowledge, proven leadership ability, and a strong understanding of what it takes to operate a successful mitigation department.

Required qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the disaster restoration industry, preferably with hands-on mitigation experience.
  • Experience overseeing mitigation projects and coordinating restoration crews.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people, establish accountability, and improve team performance.
  • Working knowledge of restoration documentation, project scoping, job costing, and production management.
  • Experience communicating with property owners, insurance adjusters, and claims professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active projects and competing priorities.
  • Sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
  • A high standard of integrity, ownership, professionalism, and follow-through.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading a mitigation team or managing a restoration department.
  • Familiarity with water, fire, mold, and/or biohazard mitigation.
  • IICRC certifications.
  • Experience tracking operational KPIs, managing job profitability, and implementing process improvements.

Who Thrives in This Role?

You’ll likely excel here if you:

  • Understand the difference between completing jobs and running a successful operation.
  • Can move confidently between the field, the office, customers, and insurance professionals.
  • Know how to hold people accountable while earning their respect.
  • Understand that customer satisfaction, quality workmanship, and profitability should reinforce one another.
  • Take ownership of problems and follow them through to resolution.
  • Look for ways to improve systems instead of relying on the same workarounds.
  • Can prioritize effectively when multiple projects and emergency losses demand attention.
  • Want the responsibility to make decisions, develop people, and improve how a department performs.

Why Standard Restoration?

At Standard Restoration, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a growing business. We value experienced professionals who bring ideas, take initiative, and want to build something better.

We’re looking for a leader who wants more than a title—someone who wants to help shape a team, strengthen operations, and create lasting results.

If you have the restoration experience, leadership ability, and business mindset to take our mitigation department to the next level, we’d like to hear from you.

Apply today and tell us how your experience can help us build a stronger mitigation operation.
