Mitigation Technician

Overview

As a Mitigation Technician, you’ll respond to property damage and help customers take the next steps toward recovery. You’ll perform cleaning and restoration work for water, flood, fire, and mold damage, following safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection. Your impact: By quickly and safely stabilizing damaged spaces, you help customers and property owners move toward a cleaner, safer recovery.

Responsibilities

• Support emergency response readiness and participate in scheduled on-call coverage.
• Remove water, clean affected areas, and assist with flood, water damage, fire, and mold restoration.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and restoration equipment; perform carpet cleaning as needed.
• Follow safety protocols, including proper PPE use and respiratory protection; escalate suspected asbestos rather than perform abatement unless authorized and qualified.
• Operate a company vehicle safely, document work, and provide clear, respectful customer service.

Qualifications

• Preferred: restoration industry experience, construction experience, or hands-on experience with restoration, water damage restoration, flood restoration, fire restoration, mold remediation, or cleaning.
• Able to follow safety procedures and use PPE and respiratory protection correctly; emergency response readiness and on-call availability are required.
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools and operating a company vehicle.
• Preferred: familiarity with Xactimate, carpet cleaning, and asbestos abatement requirements.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
