What they need

Your Impact, Story by Story

Imagine arriving at a manufacturer’s facility where a critical Mitsubishi Sinker EDM is down. Production is waiting. You quickly interpret the schematic, trace a high-voltage issue, realign a mechanical assembly, and validate results with precise measurements. By afternoon, the spindle is humming and the shop is back on schedule. Later, you jump on a call to coach another customer through a quick fix. That’s the kind of impact you’ll make—every day.

Mission

Leverage your electro-mechanical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, modify, and verify Mitsubishi machining equipment. The role requires 100% travel, Monday through Friday—mostly within the U.S., with occasional international trips. We support customers on-site and, when it’s efficient, over the phone. We train for mastery, champion career growth, and value the kind of commitment that drives long-term employee and customer relationships.

Core Responsibilities

  • Diagnose complex failures and complete on-site restoration of Sinker EDM systems.
  • Dismantle, rebuild, and test mechanical/electrical subsystems to original spec.
  • Deliver expert telephone troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Engage customers with professional, solution-focused communication.
  • Use schematics and block diagrams to find root causes and confirm fixes.
  • Maintain thorough records of issues, actions taken, and outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Mindset

  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • CNC programming exposure (G-code/M-code) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication; team-first approach in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive travel capability; valid driver’s license required.

Education & Experience

  • Two-year Electronic or Technical degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Skilled with electrical measurement/inspection tools (voltmeter, oscilloscope, and similar equipment).
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems.
  • Fluent with precision tools: dial indicators, micrometers, calipers.

Working Environment

Primarily indoor work with exposure to weather changes (heat, cold, wind, rain, sun). You’ll operate near moving mechanical parts with moderate to loud noise. Expect substantial driving and overtime. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands

Very frequent bending, upper-body twisting, standing, speaking, hearing, and frequent kneeling. Repetitive hand use (squeezing, keyboarding) and crouching. Frequent lifting/carrying of 1–10 lbs; recurrent lifting of 11–20 lbs; occasional lifting/carrying of 21–50+ lbs. Constant push/pull of 1–50 lbs; infrequent push/pull of >50 lbs using handcarts or similar devices. Strong visual and color acuity required.
