Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Mixer Operator with a Commercial Driver’s License Class B (CDL B) to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate and maintain concrete mixers, paving equipment, and other heavy machinery essential for civil infrastructure projects. Your expertise will ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality asphalt, concrete, and other materials necessary for paving, road construction, and site development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects while working in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Duties

• Safely operate concrete mixers, dump trucks, loaders, excavators, and paving equipment in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols.
• Transport construction materials such as asphalt, concrete, and rebar to various project sites while adhering to all commercial vehicle standards.
• Assist with the installation of rebar, concrete forming, and finishing to ensure precise and durable pavement or structure surfaces.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Support concrete pumping operations and screed handling for smooth asphalt paving and concrete finishing.
• Collaborate with team members on site to execute paving plans efficiently, including working with screeds and other finishing tools.
• Follow all safety regulations diligently, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), adherence to safety protocols, and reporting hazards or incidents promptly.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial trucks is essential.
• Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, pavers, and concrete mixers in construction or civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with bituminous materials, asphalt paving techniques, and concrete work including finishing and pumping.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to material quantities, and project specifications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards, DOT regulations for commercial vehicles, and site-specific safety protocols.
• Construction site experience with a focus on civil infrastructure projects involving rebar installation, concrete forming, or paving operations is highly desirable.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a high level of safety awareness.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
