WHY THIS JOB EXISTS To serve the needs of the business, our guests and our colleagues by administering the day-to-day operations of Beverage service areas in the hotel

All members of the Food & Beverage Department are responsible for ensuring that visitors to the hotel are delighted by the quality, creativity and variety of our food and beverage offerings in every area of the hotel, and that F&B is regarded as a strong point of differentiation for the hotel in its local market.

Key Duties And Responsibilities Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Minor Hotels employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

• Supervising all bars, banquet beverage operations and the Lobby Lounge, ensuring a smooth running, profitable operation within the framework of the Hotel.
• Maximizing revenue through increased sales and efficient cost management.
• Advising on updates to the Beverage and Wine list so as to ensure an original and attractive beverage offering that meets the needs of our hotel.
• To be aware of all Minor Hotels Guest Incentive programs and promotions to improve guest satisfaction and increase of sales revenue.
• Ensure that proper inventory, requisition, bar pars and control systems are in place to maintain security and cost control of all beverage operations areas.
• Actively participate in departmental training, and deliver training as required to meet the needs of the business. Implement a daily departmental training program
• Maintain outlet safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Enforce Minor Hotels Sanitation Checklist by having all Bar service areas inspected on a monthly basis.
• Be responsible for asset management of all outlet property and facilities.
• Promote positive inter-departmental relations through candid communication and cooperation.
• To work with the Banqueting Department to support all requested functions
• Above all, to lead by example through a “hands on” approach to motivate our Team Members to excel.
