What they need

Mixology Class Instructor / Event MixologistOverview

Swiggle is seeking an outgoing, knowledgeable, and engaging Mixology Class Instructor / Event Mixologist to lead interactive cocktail-making experiences at apartment communities and residential properties.

In this role, you will host fun and educational mixology classes where residents learn how to prepare cocktails, understand basic mixology techniques, and discover featured spirits and ingredients.

The ideal candidate is not only a skilled bartender or mixologist, but also someone who is comfortable speaking in front of groups, guiding participants step-by-step, and creating an entertaining and welcoming experience.

This is a paid, event-based position, primarily involving evening and weekend events throughout South Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Lead interactive mixology classes for residents at apartment communities and residential properties.
  • Demonstrate how to prepare selected cocktails step-by-step in an easy, engaging, and entertaining way.
  • Explain cocktail ingredients, spirits, mixing techniques, garnishes, and presentation.
  • Help participants prepare their own cocktails safely and correctly during the class.
  • Create a fun and social environment while keeping the class organized and on schedule.
  • Answer participant questions about cocktails, spirits, ingredients, and basic bartending techniques.
  • Represent Swiggle and participating beverage brands professionally throughout each event.
  • Follow provided cocktail recipes, class formats, and brand guidelines.
  • Assist with setting up the mixology station, ingredients, bar tools, garnishes, cups or glassware, and event materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the class.
  • Assist with cleanup and breakdown after each event.
  • Coordinate with Swiggle staff and apartment community management when necessary.
  • Follow all responsible alcohol service and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending, mixology, hospitality, catering, or event experience.
  • Strong knowledge of basic cocktails, spirits, bar tools, measurements, and drink preparation.
  • Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of groups.
  • Friendly, energetic, and confident personality.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to clearly explain cocktail-making techniques to participants with different experience levels.
  • Reliable, punctual, organized, and professional.
  • Comfortable interacting with apartment residents and creating a social atmosphere.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a class from setup through breakdown.
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and scheduled community events.
  • Reliable transportation to event locations throughout South Florida.
  • Previous teaching, hosting, brand ambassador, or event experience is a plus.
  • Must meet all applicable age requirements for handling and serving alcoholic beverages.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who can do more than make a great cocktail.

We are looking for someone who can host an experience — someone who can welcome a group, explain cocktails in a simple and entertaining way, keep residents engaged, and make the class feel social rather than overly formal.

You should be comfortable being the face of the event and creating an atmosphere where participants can learn, socialize, and have fun.

About Swiggle
