Explore your journey ahead

• Guest Service – Deliver exceptional bar service, creating memorable experiences for our guests from the first pour to the last sip.
• Drink Knowledge – Stay informed about our cocktail menu, wine selection, and premium spirits, confidently making recommendations and mixing drinks with precision.
• Presentation – Serve beverages with attention to detail and in accordance with our presentation standards.
• Cleanliness – Maintain a clean and organised bar, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
• Team Collaboration – Work closely with the floor and culinary teams to ensure seamless service and an elevated guest experience.
• Upselling – Utilise suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and maximise sales.
• Compliance – Adhere to all responsible service of alcohol regulations, health and safety policies and InterContinental brand standards.

What we need from you

• Passion for Hospitality – A genuine interest in beverages, mixology, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a premium environment.
• Communication – Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests and colleagues alike.
• Positive Mindset – A can-do attitude, with a willingness to learn, adapt and contribute to a high-performing team culture.
• Adaptability – The ability to multitask, stay organised, and perform under pressure in a fast-paced service environment.
• Experience – Previous experience in a similar bar or premium hospitality setting is required. Experience working in a hotel would be an advantage.
• Flexibility – Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Working Rights – Must hold valid New Zealand working rights to be considered for this role.
