Mixologist

Job Summary

Library Bar is seeking a skilled, friendly, and dependable Mixologist to join our bar team. The ideal candidate will prepare high-quality cocktails and beverages, provide professional guest service, maintain an organized bar, and support smooth daily bar operations. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys hospitality, has strong beverage knowledge, and can work confidently in a busy bar environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service at the bar
• Prepare cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established standards
• Follow recipes and maintain consistent beverage quality and presentation
• Take beverage orders accurately and provide knowledgeable recommendations
• Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments accurately
• Verify identification and follow responsible alcohol service procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout each shift
• Prepare garnishes, syrups, mixers, and other cocktail ingredients
• Restock spirits, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, ice, and bar supplies
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
• Maintain proper glassware, bar tools, and beverage equipment
• Follow food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and alcohol-service policies
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including bar setup and breakdown
• Handle guest requests and concerns in a polite and professional manner
• Support coworkers during busy service periods
• Perform additional duties assigned by bar management

Requirements

• Previous bartending, mixology, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
• Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and beverage preparation
• Strong guest-service and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bar environment
• Basic POS and cash-handling experience
• Ability to follow recipes, service standards, and responsible alcohol-service procedures
• Strong attention to detail and beverage presentation
• Reliable attendance and professional work ethic
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine bar duties
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must meet applicable legal requirements for alcohol service

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
