Role Summary:
Develop, customize, and optimize embedded Linux distributions for robotics platforms. Integrate robotics hardware, enable ROS2 middleware, and support system bring-up and deployment processes.

What Youll Do:

• Develop and customize Linux distributions using Yocto/OpenEmbedded
• Create and maintain BSPs, device trees, kernel configurations, and bootloaders
• Integrate robotics hardware (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, encoders, motor controllers, industrial I/O devices)
• Enable and optimize ROS2 middleware for robotic applications
• Develop low-level drivers and middleware interfaces
• Optimize system boot time, memory footprint, power consumption, and real-time performance
• Support board bring-up, hardware validation, and debugging
• Containerize robotics workloads using Docker where applicable
• Collaborate with AI, perception, navigation, and controls teams
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for Yocto image generation and software validation
• Support deployment and OTA update mechanisms

What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):

• Experience developing and customizing Linux distributions with Yocto/OpenEmbedded
• Experience creating and maintaining BSPs, device trees, kernel configurations, and bootloaders
• Experience integrating and interfacing with robotics hardware (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, encoders, motor controllers, industrial I/O devices)
• Experience enabling and optimizing ROS2 middleware
• Skills in system optimization for boot time, memory, power, and real-time performance
• Experience with board bring-up, hardware validation, and debugging
• Experience with containerization using Docker
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for Yocto image generation and software validation
• Experience supporting deployment and OTA update mechanisms
