Mobile App Developer Intern

Job Overview

Parashift Technologies is looking for a motivated Mobile App Developer Intern to develop and customize a white-labelled mobile application for iOS and Android using Ionic and Angular. The application will integrate with our existing web platform and include features such as user authentication, in-app purchases, payment integration, push notifications, and account management.

A) Key Responsibilities

• Set up the development environment, including Node.js, Ionic CLI, Android Studio, and Xcode, and build the existing application from source.
• Understand the application's codebase, including Angular modules, services, and plugins, and integrate it with our existing web platform, including login and Single Sign-On (SSO).
• Customize the application branding, including app ID / bundle ID, app name, theme (SCSS), logo, icons, splash screen, and language strings.
• Configure push notifications using Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android), Apple Push Notification service (APNs), and AirNotifier where applicable.
• Develop an in-app catalogue featuring item listings, detail pages, pricing, purchase options, and user registration.
• Integrate payment solutions, including Apple In-App Purchases and Google Play Billing, with Razorpay on Android where permitted by applicable store policies.
• Implement purchase receipt verification and automated access provisioning through the backend.
• Collaborate with the PHP development team to configure backend web services, authentication, application settings, and a custom PHP plugin for payment verification and access management.
• Work with Moodle web services and mobile application settings where required for backend integration.
• Test the application on real Android and iOS devices, including sandbox purchase testing on both platforms.
• Prepare release builds, configure signing, set up in-app purchase products, prepare store listings, and submit applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Address app review feedback, resolve technical issues, and support application launch.
• Monitor crash reports, troubleshoot production issues, and deliver post-release updates and hotfixes.

B) Key Requirements & Qualifications

1. Mobile Frontend Development

• Ionic 8, Angular 20, TypeScript 5, RxJS, and SCSS.
• Apache Cordova, including cordova-android, cordova-ios, and Awesome Cordova Plugins.
• Experience with libraries such as:
• ngx-translate (internationalization)SwiperChart.jsDay.jsMathJaxVideo.js
• Development tools: Node.js 24, npm, Angular CLI, Ionic CLI, Gulp, Webpack, ESLint, and Jest.
• Familiarity with native mobile capabilities and plugins, including:

Advanced HTTP requestsIn-app browserFile handling and file transferCamera and media captureQR code scanningPush notificationsSQLite storage and offline data management

2. Backend Integration

• Familiarity with PHP 8.x and MySQL / MariaDB or PostgreSQL.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with REST APIs and token-based authentication.
• Understanding of backend services, payment verification, and automated access provisioning.
• Ability to collaborate with backend developers to implement custom PHP plugins and API integrations.
• Familiarity with Moodle web services, mobile application services, and related settings where required.

3. Third-Party Services and Tools

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and Apple Push Notification service (APNs).
• Apple Developer Program, App Store Connect, and Google Play Console.
• Android Studio, Xcode (macOS), Git, and GitHub.
• Apple In-App Purchases (StoreKit) and Google Play Billing.
• Razorpay integration where permitted by platform policies.

C) Good to Have

• Basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
• Familiarity with Moodle web services and plugin development.
• Experience writing unit tests using Jest.
• Experience publishing an application on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
