Mobile App QA Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Mobile App QA Engineer to join our mobile application development team. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in testing Android and/or iOS mobile applications and a strong understanding of software quality assurance processes.

The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that mobile applications are stable, reliable, user-friendly, and meet the required functional and quality standards before release.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Android App mobile applications across different devices and screen sizes.
• Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on project requirements.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using the company's project management/bug-tracking system.
• Clearly report bugs with proper steps to reproduce, screenshots, videos, logs, and other relevant information.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing after each release or major update.
• Test application features, user flows, UI/UX, performance, and stability.
• Work closely with developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers to identify and resolve application issues.
• Perform testing on different Android versions, devices, screen sizes, and hardware configurations.
• Assist in release testing and ensure applications meet quality standards before production deployment.
• Monitor application crashes and help identify potential causes and reproduction steps.
• Maintain proper QA documentation, test reports, and testing records.
• Participate in daily development/QA meetings and provide clear updates regarding testing progress and application quality.
• Continuously improve testing processes and follow company QA standards.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in Mobile Application QA/Software Testing.
• Practical experience testing Android mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and QA processes.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, usability, and compatibility testing.
• Good understanding of mobile application workflows and user experience.
• Experience writing test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps, or similar project/bug-tracking systems is a plus.
• Basic understanding of API testing and REST APIs is a plus.
• Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Android Studio Logcat, Firebase Crashlytics, or similar QA/debugging tools is a plus.
• Good understanding of different Android devices, Android versions, screen sizes, and device configurations.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a development and QA team.
• Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field are preferred.

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs65,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Lahore Bahria Town: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
