Mobile Application Developer (Android and IOS)

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Mobile Application Developer responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.

The candidate will be responsible for the complete mobile application development lifecycle, including implementing UI/UX designs, integrating APIs and databases, resolving technical issues, publishing applications on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, and ensuring smooth performance after launch.

The role requires an individual who can independently manage mobile development tasks and take end-to-end ownership of assigned applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mobile Application Development

• Develop and maintain mobile applications for Android and iOS.
• Convert Figma and other UI/UX designs into responsive, functional, and user-friendly mobile interfaces.
• Implement application screens, navigation, business logic, forms, dashboards, notifications, and other features.
• Ensure compatibility across different devices, screen sizes, and operating system versions.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-structured code.

2. API Integration & Backend Connectivity

• Integrate REST APIs and connect mobile applications with backend services.
• Work with backend developers to coordinate API requirements, data formats, authentication, and error handling.
• Integrate databases and services such as Firebase, Firestore, or other relevant technologies.
• Implement login, registration, OTP verification, user sessions, file uploads, push notifications, and other required functionalities.
• Handle API failures, loading states, network interruptions, and data synchronization appropriately.

3. Testing & Quality Assurance

• Test applications across different devices and operating system versions.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and basic performance testing.
• Identify and resolve crashes, UI issues, API errors, and other application defects.
• Ensure applications work reliably before every release.
• Coordinate with QA testers and resolve reported issues.

4. Deployment & Store Publishing

• Prepare production-ready builds for Android and iOS.
• Manage signing configurations, app certificates, provisioning profiles, and release builds as applicable.
• Handle Google Play Console and Apple App Store Connect submissions.
• Manage app versions, release notes, store listings, and review-related technical issues.
• Resolve build failures, deployment errors, and app rejection issues.
• Coordinate testing releases, production rollouts, and updates.

5. Bug Fixing & Application Maintenance

• Monitor, investigate, and resolve bugs reported by users or internal teams.
• Diagnose application crashes, performance issues, and production errors.
• Release hotfixes, patches, and application updates when required.
• Maintain existing applications and ensure compatibility with new OS versions.
• Prevent recurring issues through root-cause analysis and regression testing.

6. Performance, Security & Reliability

• Optimize application startup time, responsiveness, memory usage, and network performance.
• Follow secure coding practices and protect sensitive user data.
• Implement appropriate authentication, authorization, secure storage, and session management.
• Handle permissions, device-specific functionality, and application lifecycle events correctly.
• Follow platform guidelines and applicable data privacy requirements.

7. Code Management & Documentation

• Use Git and GitHub for version control, branching, code reviews, and collaboration.
• Maintain readable code and appropriate technical documentation.
• Document build, configuration, deployment, and release procedures.
• Maintain environment configurations and manage dependencies responsibly.
• Ensure project code and technical knowledge are properly documented for future maintenance.

8. Collaboration & End-to-End Ownership

• Work with UI/UX designers, backend developers, full stack developers, QA teams, and project managers.
• Understand business requirements and identify technical dependencies before development.
• Estimate tasks, communicate progress, and report blockers proactively.
• Independently investigate technical issues and propose suitable solutions.
• Take responsibility for assigned features from requirement analysis through development, testing, deployment, and post-release support.

Required Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience developing Android and iOS mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge of at least one suitable mobile development approach:
• Cross-platform: Flutter and Dart, or React Native.
• Native Android: Kotlin or Java.
• Native iOS: Swift.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling JSON responses.
• Knowledge of Firebase, Firestore, or other databases and backend services.
• Understanding of Git, GitHub, debugging, application architecture, and code quality.
• Practical knowledge of mobile application testing and production deployment.
• Familiarity with push notifications, authentication, permissions, and application performance optimization.
• Ability to understand and implement Figma or other UI/UX designs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience publishing applications on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
• Experience handling production bugs, app updates, and store review feedback.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, crash reporting, and release management.
• Understanding of mobile application security and secure data handling.
• Experience working on applications involving authentication, dashboards, API integrations, and database-driven workflows.

Experience & Education

• Relevant experience in mobile application development is preferred.
• Candidates with demonstrable projects and strong practical skills may also be considered.
• A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is desirable.

Key Expectations

The selected candidate will be expected to:

• Take end-to-end technical responsibility for assigned mobile applications.
• Deliver functional, tested, and production-ready features.
• Handle deployment and store publishing rather than stopping at development.
• Resolve bugs and maintain applications after release.
• Coordinate effectively with other development teams.
• Maintain proper code, documentation, and deployment handover.
• Ensure timely delivery, application stability, and continuous improvement.

Important: This is an end-to-end mobile development role, not limited to UI implementation. The developer is expected to contribute throughout the application lifecycle, from development to production deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Mulund, Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
