Mobile Application Developer

About the Role
WellWallet is bringing affordable medications to patients while helping community pharmacies optimize their pricing. We are looking for a mobile developer who can take an existing, well-designed prototype and ship it as a real product. You will work directly with our Product & Operations Lead and CTO to build the patient-facing mobile app, ensure it is performant and polished, and contribute meaningfully to the UI/UX decisions along the way. This is a hands-on build contract. We move fast, care deeply about the product experience, and want someone who shares that instinct.

Please note that this position is a contract role and will be for a period of 2-3 MONTHS.

Location: Preferred candidates will live in Lagos; however this is a fully remote position.

Commitment: Contract; full time, 3 months.

Compensation: Contracted rate.

What You Will Create

• A patient-facing mobile app (React Native) — home, shop, care, and profile tabs
• API integrations with our backend (RESTful, documented)
• A clean, performant experience that matches the design fidelity of the existing prototype

Must Haves

• Solid React Native experience — you have shipped at least one production app
• Strong JavaScript / TypeScript fundamentals
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling async state
• A good eye for UI detail — you notice when something is 2px off and it bothers you
• Familiarity with Figma — you can read a design file and implement it faithfully
• Git proficiency — clean commits, branching, PRs

Good to Have

• Experience with Expo or bare React Native CLI workflow
• Knowledge of mobile performance optimisation (lazy loading, list virtualisation, image handling)
• Familiarity with push notifications (FCM / APNs)
• Any exposure to health tech or e-commerce apps
• Prior work on a startup product — you know how to make decisions without perfect information
