Mobile Automation Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Appium for testing Android and/or iOS mobile applications. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts while working closely with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to ensure high-quality mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile automation test scripts using Appium.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing of mobile applications.

• Automate testing for Android and iOS applications.

• Work with real devices, emulators, and simulators.

• Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot application defects and automation failures.

• Create and maintain reusable automation frameworks.

• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.

• Perform API testing and validate mobile application backend integrations.

• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve defects.

• Participate in test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting.

• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.

• Maintain test documentation, test reports, and defect tracking.

• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage and automation efficiency.

  Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA.

• Strong hands-on experience with Appium.

• Mobile application testing experience on Android and/or iOS.

• Strong understanding of mobile testing concepts and application lifecycle.

• Experience with Selenium WebDriver.

• Strong programming experience in at least one of Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience developing or working with automation frameworks.

• Good understanding of API testing and REST APIs.

• Experience with tools such as Postman.

• Experience with Git and version-control practices.

• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and defect lifecycle.

• Experience working with JIRA or similar defect-management tools.
