Mobile Automation Tester - Banking

Context

Do you want to take an important role in the Agile transformation of the largest business bank in Belgium? With us, you will be part of the action and you will be the entry point of the bank for the enterprises. Our tribe has an end-to-end product responsibility on the digital solution (web & app) created for the Enterprises clients of the largest business bank in the country. The tribe consists of multi-disciplinary teams (squads) combining all the IT & business skills needed to develop and maintain these solutions. You will have the opportunity to work in a team that develops features end-to-end, including the frontend parts in a mobile application and the backend parts in a cloud system (you will have the opportunity to work in both).

We are looking for someone who could reinforce the team and bring it up to the next level but also build a mid/long term relationship after an initial onboarding.

• Monitor product and code quality from start to finish

• Help determine the feature test plan and the test scope

Tools & Environment

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for mobile apps using Appium (Android/iOS), Selenium-Java, and BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin)

• Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data for both functional and non-functional testing on real and virtual devices

• Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects with detailed logs and replication steps

• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines

• Collaborate with development team to identify automation opportunities and prioritize test cases

• Debug and troubleshoot automation scripts and applications in various environments

• Ensure scalability, reliability, and effectiveness of automated test frameworks and tools

• Maintain documentation for test automation frameworks, processes, and results

• Knowledge of software testing standards (ISTQB)

Working Conditions

• Location: Brussels, Belgium

• Work arrangement: 2 days per week at the office, 3 days remote

• Candidates must live in Belgium

1. At least 3 years of relevant experience

2. Hands-on mobile testing experience for Android & iOS

3. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Appium (Android/iOS), Selenium-Java, and BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin)

4. Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data for both functional and non-functional testing on real and virtual devices

5. Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects with detailed logs and replication steps

6. Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines

7. Debug and troubleshoot automation scripts and applications in various environments

8. Ensure scalability, reliability, and effectiveness of automated test frameworks and tools

9. Maintain documentation for test automation frameworks, processes, and results

10. Knowledge of software testing standards such as ISTQB

11. Technical skills including Appium setup for real & virtual devices, Core Java concepts, Selenium – Java, Git, Jenkins, Cloud platforms, Maven, BDD, Gherkin, and TestNG

12. Practical experience with Scrum and an Agile mindset (positive attitude, pragmatism, thirst for knowledge, team success focus, continuous improvement)

13. Strong collaboration and feedback skills, ability to share knowledge and suggest improvements

14. Ability to adapt easily and bond with new colleagues

16. Sound knowledge of English (knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus)
