Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Catering Assistant to join our team covering schools across Whitchurch, Wem, and Ellesmere, with occasional travel to Shrewsbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a flexible and customer-focused individual who enjoys variety in their role and takes pride in delivering a high-quality catering service.

  • First 10,000 business miles paid at 45p per mile
  • Additional business miles paid at 25p per mile

What you'll be doing

• Providing mobile catering support across multiple school locations
• Covering schools primarily across Whitchurch, Wem, and Ellesmere, with occasional travel to Shrewsbury
• Assisting with food preparation and service
• Delivering excellent customer service to pupils, staff, and visitors
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of school catering operations
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
• Assisting with stock replenishment and basic kitchen duties
• Following all health & safety and food safety procedures
• Supporting colleagues and adapting to different sites as required

Qualifications

About you

• Previous catering, hospitality, or customer service experience is desirable
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Full driving licence and access to transport would be advantageous due to travel between sites
• Passion for delivering excellent customer service

• Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check prior to commencing employment.
