MOBILE CRANE OPERATOR

Job Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes safely and efficiently at construction sites.
• Carry out lifting and positioning of construction materials, equipment, steel structures, precast components and other loads.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspection of the crane and report any defects or safety issues.
• Follow approved lifting plans, method statements and site safety procedures.
• Ensure the crane is properly positioned, levelled and set up before lifting operations.
• Work closely with the lifting team, rigger, signalman and site supervisor during lifting activities.
• Monitor load weight, lifting capacity, working radius and ground conditions.
• Maintain proper care and cleanliness of the crane.
• Record daily crane operation, inspection and maintenance activities.
• Immediately report any equipment malfunction, unsafe condition or incident to the supervisor.
• Perform other crane-related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating mobile cranes in the construction industry.
• Valid Mobile Crane Operator Competency Certificate / License recognised by the relevant Malaysian authority.
• Able to operate mobile cranes safely according to the manufacturer's operating limits and site requirements.
• Good understanding of lifting operations, load capacity, lifting radius and basic crane safety.
• Able to communicate and work effectively with riggers, signalmen and site supervisors.
• Physically fit and able to work at construction sites, including outdoor and shift work when required.
• Responsible, safety-conscious and able to follow instructions.
• Experience in infrastructure, bridge, piling, precast or heavy construction works will be an advantage.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends or public holidays according to project requirements.
